In November 2020 I thought of Mum, Dad and Clive, and made my donation to the Stroke Association as usual, but could not remember how to write a tribute on this site. But now the death of a friend has brought me to the right place, on a grey winter’s day when we have to work hard to say we are happy to be alive in a world of fear and sickness. All the lessons my parents taught us about resilience and valuing our health above wealth remain to this day. My donation is given in tribute to their struggles and to honour all the health service and associated charities that work to support people after life changing illness.

Another year gone since Mum and Dad left us. And this year my dear brother Clive, too, though not of stroke. We still tend the memorial tree in Brighton and look under it for the new hope of spring flowers every year.
So today I made another small donation to support others, especially people living with the effects of a stroke.

Another year has slipped by since Mum died in 2005. Sadly, more friends and relatives have been affected by stroke, but thankfully some are making a good recovery. So we continue to support this fund so that others can lead as full a life as possible after their stroke.
For ever in our memory, Mum and Dad who gave us so much to enjoy and love in life.
